Allison Leigh Sharpe

Allison Leigh Sharpe, 55, residing in Valparaiso,  IN, passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2017.   She was born August 17, 1962 Blue Island, IL to Walter Stewart and Helen Ruth (Wiersma) Sharpe.   Allison worked for 25 years at South Shore Hospital as a Medical Staff Coordinator.  She attended Christian Assembly Church, Hobart, and was an active fundraiser for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.

Allison is survived by her loving family, mother, Helen Wiersma; children, Winne Helene (Eric) Dombrowski and Mitchell Sharpe (Christina) Robertson; brothers, Walter and Glenn (Shirley) Sharpe; special aunt, Key Wiersma; boyfriend, Bruce Smith; faithful companion, her yellow lab, Mason; and many loving family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial services will be at 5:00pm Saturday, October 7, at Northway Church of Christ, 19525 Auten Road, South Bend, led by Justin M. Goodman.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, and a time of fellowship will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Dr. Ernst Lengyel’s Research Lab at the University of Chicago at 5235 S.
