Alyce H. Procaccino

Alyce H. Procaccino went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Healthwin Specialized Care, South Bend.  She was born on September 6, 1922 in South Bend, IN to the late Joseph G. and Helen (Kashimer) Edwards. 

Alyce is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Whaley of South Bend, IN; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Connie Stiles of Oviedo, FL and Betty Harmon of Riverside, CA.   She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Ann Higginbotham; son-in-law, David Whaley and two brothers, Robert and Joseph Edwards.

Alyce lived most of her life in South Bend.  She lived in Colorado for fifteen years where she worked at the Christian Home for Children in Colorado Springs.  She worked for ten years at Gospel Folio Press in Grand Rapids, MI.  Alyce was a member of Hoffman Prayer Chapel and volunteered at Hamilton Grove for many years, receiving the volunteer of the year award one year.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2016 at Southlawn Cemetery, 61300 U. S. 31 South, South Bend.  Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Monday at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.
