MISHAWAKA – Ann Marie Tinsman “Tinkerbell”, 40, residing in Mishawaka, IN passed away at 5:29 PM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN.

Ann was born on January 8, 1975 in Moline, Illinois and moved to Louisiana with her parents at the age of seven.  While living in Raceland, Louisiana, she attended grade school at St. Hilary School.  She was chosen to be a maiden on the Raceland, Louisiana Volunteer Fireman’s Float and attended the Fireman’s Ball.  During her teenage years, Ann lived in Pensacola, Florida with her father, and attended the Pine Forest High School where she played clarinet in the high school band.  Ann still has many friends from Pine Forest High School. Two years ago, Ann returned to Indiana to be with her mother.

She is survived by her mother and step father, Nancy and Stephen Huston; father and step-mother,  Steven and Tammi Tinsman; grandmother, Esther Goodrich; grandmother, Patricia Haden; grandfather, Gerald Hammer; grandfather, George Huston; grandfather-in-law and grandmother, Dave (Joyce) Amos; sisters, Candice (Kevin) Allen, Angie (Eric) Funkhouser and Melanie (Shawn) Jewart; brother, Kristopher (Stephanie) Tomplait; aunts and uncles, Keith Tinsman, Donald (Jane) Goodrich, David Tinsman, Ronald (Juanita) Goodrich, Renee Tinsman, Alma June Donelson, Naomi Chavez, Patricia (Larry) Wheeler, Essy (Bruce) Goss, Harold (Rona) Goodrich, Vicky Hoogerworth, John Hammer, Diane Wancket and Sheryl Hammer; great-niece, Anna Marie Jewart; and many more extended family members.

Ann is loved very much by her entire family and many friends.  She said that she was fortunate to have two sets of parents and many wonderful grandparents.

Ann battled diabetes most of her life and passed away this past Saturday due to heart complications and diabetes.  She was nicknamed “Tinkerbell” by her father, and she loved Tinkerbell memorabilia.  Ann attended the Multicultural Family Fellowship Church.

A memorial service for Ann will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services.  Pastor Stephen Kyeyune and Elder Stephen Huston will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Ann Tinsman.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
