Betti C. Huff

Betti C. Huff, 75, of Bath, MI passed away at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at the home of her companion, David B. Huxtable, in South Bend after a long illness. Betti was born on June 13, 1941 in Imlay City, MI to the late Bert and Jenny (Cheney) Bower. She was raised mostly by her grandparents, and spent much of her youth as a quasi adoptive daughter of the Collins Family of Imlay City whom she loved as her own. Betti is survived by her daughter, Arlene (Gene) Renico of Belmont, MI; two sons, Daniel (Betty Jo) Huff of Sturgis, SD; Michael (Susan) Huff of Somersworth, NH and; eight grandchildren; her companion of twenty-six years, David B. Huxtable of South Bend. Betti earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts from Her Favorite Place in the World, Michigan State University. While visiting South Bend, she rooted for Notre Dame. She was a certified meeting planner, and worked for several years at ACEC Michigan as a Administrative Assistant where she developed many friends in the Engineering Profession. In her earlier years she once chaired the Farmington Michigan Founders Festival and Parade, and served as an instructor, and a member of Twirling Unlimited. Also worked as a real estate agent in Farmington Hills, Michigan. At her request there will be no services or visitation. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services, South Bend are assisting the family. She will be loved and missed forever by her family and friends.
