Betty Jane Hubler

July 6, 1918 - July 15, 2016

Betty Jane Hubler, 98, residing in South Bend, passed away at 9:45a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 in her home.  She was born July 6, 1918 in South Bend, a daughter of Richard & Maddie (Allen) Geidner, and has remained a lifelong resident of this community.

Betty is survived by her three sons, William (Katherine) Hubler of Osceola, IN; Robert Hubler of South Bend; and Charles Hubler of Tucson, AZ, along with eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two nephews, and a niece.  She preceded in death by a brother, RIchard Geidner.

Betty attended the Thomas Business College, and retired in 1986 as a bookkeeper with National Bank & Trust Company following 20 years of faithful service.  She attended Calvary Baptist Church, South Bend.  Betty was an avid reader.  Her other hobbies included puzzles, travel and gardening.

Services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at  Palmer Funeral Home-West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend.  Rev. Greg Crump will officiate.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
