Carlos Estrada

Carlos Victoria Estrada, 82, of South Bend, IN passed away at 11:25 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at his home.  He was born on September 6, 1932 in Michoacan, Mexico to Roque Estrada Vasquez and Soledad (Victoria) Estrada.  He was united in marriage to Josefina Torres Estrada on January 17, 1950.

Mr. Estrada is survived by his wife, Josefina; two daughters, Patricia (Alvaro Flores) Estrada of Nappanee, IN and Maria de Lourdes (Venancio) Zavala of South Bend, IN; seven sons, Salvador (Maria Fernandez de Estrada) Estrada of Mexico, Hector Manuel Estrada (Gloria Gomez) of South Bend, IN, Carlos Estrada (Guillermina) of East Chicago, IL, Octavio (Anna Maria) Estrada of TX, Javier Estrada of South Bend, IN, Rogelio (Esther) Estrada of TX and Alfrado (Isela) Estrada of East Chicago, IN; Forty-Three grandchildren Carlos, Emilia, Flor, Lucia, Federico, Eric, Guadalupe ϯ, Guadalupe, Yanet, Nancy, Guillermina, Jesus, Karina, Maria Yesenia, Karla, Carlos Jr., Ayerim, Jaqueline, Ulisses, Jennifer, Josefina, Rogelio, Yadhira, Rubi, Guadalupe, Maria de Lourdes, Gloria, Hector Manuel Jr., Roque ϯ, Jose Luis, Deisy, Javier Jr., Melissa, Jesus ϯ, Jesus, Miguel, Sergio, Myriam, Stephanie, Alfredo Jr., Evelyn, Venancio, Crystal; Fifty-Eight Great grandchildren; 2 Great-great grandchildren; four sisters and six brothers Maria de Jesus, Maria Guadalupe, Martha, Alicia, Salvador, Ruben, Maximino, Javier, Pedro, Francisco.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jose Louis Estrada.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m.(eastern time) Tuesday at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN where a Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church, 2505 Grace Street, South Bend, IN.  Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com
