Carol D. Morgan

Carol D. Morgan, 76, of South Bend, IN passed away at 3:15 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at her home.  She was born on February 17, 1939 in South Bend, IN to the late William and Mabel (Thwaits) Eaton, Jr.  On January 17, 1966, in South Bend, IN,  she was united in marriage to Gene M. Morgan, who survives.

Carol is also survived by her daughter, Jayne Nace of South Bend, IN; son, Clayton Morgan of South Bend, IN; her "daughter", Tammy Higginbotham of Buchanan, MI; seven grandchildren, Tara Nace, Douglas Nace, Jennifer Nace, Tyler Nace, Kyle Morgan, Riley Morgan and Clayton Morgan Jr.; six great grandchildren, Brianna, Michael, Marissa, Danielle, Amaya and Vito Lee; sister, Billy Jo Ann Wolfe of South Bend, IN and two brothers, Dennis Eaton and James Eaton, both of South Bend, IN; and many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly "Jeanie" Johnson and Janet LaVille.

Carol was a lifelong resident.  She worked as a cook and waitress at Mr. Moo's Restaurant and the American Legion Post 284, South Bend. 

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.   Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
