Carolyn J. Spradlin, 82, lifelong South Bend resident, passed away at 7:06 pm Monday, July 18, 2016 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. She was born August 18, 1933 in South Bend to the late Harry and Clara (Eichorst) Paege, Sr.

Carolyn retired as the acting Director of Instructional Media at IUSB.

Surviving Carolyn are her sons, Dennis Spradlin of Osceola, Larry (Margaret) Spradlin, Jr. of Granger and Barry (Hope) Spradlin, also of Granger, IN; grandchildren, Ian, Joel, Matthew, Craig, Caleb, Conner and Dylan; as well as three great grandchildren, Kyila, Nolan and Makenna; and two brothers, Harry Paege, Jr. of South Bend and John Paege of Osceola.

Funeral services for Carolyn will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 22, 2016 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, July 21, 2016

Memorial contributions may be donated to the charity of the donor’s choice.
