Charyll A. Holderbaum

Charyll A. Holderbaum, 67, of Bremen, IN passed away at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Memorial Hospital.  She was born on May 30, 1947 in LaPorte, IN to the late Gary and Vesta (Price) Walters.  She was united in marriage on August 19, 1967, in Niles, MI to Dale A. Holderbaum, who survives.

Charyll is also survived by her children, Louise Holderbaum of Osceola, IN, Christine (Michael) Ward of Bremen, IN, Jeffrey Holderbaum of Bremen, IN and Kathy (Eric) Christian of Bremen, IN; daughter/granddaughter, Karissa Holderbaum of Bremen, IN; three grandchildren, Shelby Holderbaum, Shayne Monroe and Morgan Holderbaum and brother, William (Deb) Walters of South Bend, IN.  She also has many good friends that will miss her.

Charyll was a longtime resident of Bremen.  She was a member of the Zion United Church Of Christ, and a St. Joseph County 4-H Fair leader for Union Township.   She was a member of the Dan O'Day's Dance Club where she enjoyed ballroom dancing.  Charyll loved to travel. Dale and her and the children traveled in 43 states. She completed her goal to travel all 50 states and the Bahamas with Dale as an empty nester. She loved to embroider, make quits, antiquing, reading books, cooking and mostly taking care of her family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Zion United Church of Christ, 211 S. St. Peter Street, South Bend, IN.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.  Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN and one hour prior to the services at church Tuesday.
