Welcome to the memorial page for

Deborah Ann (Macys) Landgrebe

October 15, 1971 ~ November 22, 2015 (age 44) 44 Years Old

Deborah Ann Landgrebe, 44, of Mishawaka, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 12:27 am. She was born October 15, 1971 in Hobart, IN to Richard and Irene Macys of Granger.

Deborah graduated from Portage High School in Portage, IN and briefly attended Purdue University  before marriage and the birth of her four children. She worked as a banquet manager at the Hilton Garden Inn in South Bend, as well as the Century Center, where she was loved by everyone she met. She treated whomever she spoke with like her own children and selflessly strived for everyone’s happiness. Deborah was also an active community member volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul Society in South Bend.

Family and friends were Deborah’s passion and delight. She was loved by many and her beautiful smile would light up the room. In 2010, Deborah learned she had stage IV melanoma cancer, and she bravely fought this battle for five years. She was an advocate for and supporter of other cancer patients.

Deborah is survived by her four beautiful children, Madeline, 20, a student at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN majoring in music education, Dakota, 18, also a student at Indiana University in Bloomington majoring in geology, and Nathan and Adam, both 15, sophomore students at Mishawaka High School in Mishawaka. Deborah was a loving mother to her four children. She gave everything for her kids and her kids were her rock and her drive to be strong and persevere through her illness. Deborah is also survived by her sister, Dr. Diana Macys-Staley; two brothers, Richard and Leonard Macys; and countless other family members and friends who loved her dearly. Rest in peace our beautiful little momma.
