Dolores P. ((Benson)) Holmes

Dolores P. Holmes, 85, of South Bend, IN passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Healthwin Specialized Care.  Dolores was born on March 21, 1930, in Eau Claire, MI to the late Clyde and Mabel (Bielby) Benson.  On March 27, 1948 she married Ramon Snyder, who preceded her in death.  On June 28, 1978, she married Alto Holmes, who preceded her in death on August 22, 2015.

Dolores is survived by her sons, Darrell (Karen) Snyder of Niles, MI, and Rodney (Patty) Snyder of South Bend; her sister, Velma Morgan and her brother Larry (Christine) Benson, both of Eau Claire, MI; three grandchildren, Sheila (Jake) Perkins, Bryon (Pam) Snyder and Seth Snyder; seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Sharon Holmes of South Bend; her stepson, Lawrence R. (Tina) Holmes of Venice, FL and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a son, Rick Snyder, a stepson, Ricky Holmes, two brothers and six sisters.

Services for Dolores will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN.  Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Westlawn Cemetery in North Liberty, IN.
