Don E. Holtzapple

Don E. Holtzapple, 77, of Mishawaka, IN passed away at 9:22 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at Hospice House.  He was born on February 9, 1938 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Donald L. and Rosemary (Goucher) Holtzapple.  On December 18, 1965 in Lakeville, IN he married the former Marlene (Beausoliel) Holtzapple, who survives.

Mr. Holtzapple is also survived by his daughter, Dianna Pejza of South Bend, IN; son, Mark Holtzapple of South Bend, IN; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Phyllis Yeake, Ruth Ann (Dave) Irons and Alberta (David) Lee; and brother, Raymond Henry.

Mr. Holtzapple was a lifelong area resident.  He served his country honorably in the United States Army.  He retired in 1991 as a truck driver for Roadway Express after thirty years of service.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion in Lakeville, Loyal Order of Moose and Fraternal Order of Eagles.  Mr. Holtzapple was a member of the Lakeville United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Don's Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Lakeville United Methodist Church, 610 N. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN officiated by Rev. Brian White.  Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service in church.
