Morey of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; two sons, Kenny Stephens of South Bend, and Rick (MaryGrace) Stephens of South Bend; Paw Paw to seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Dennis of Atlanta, GA, and Phyllis (Don) Frushour of South Bend.  Don was preceded in death by two daughters, Marie Waska and Deenene Flickinger; and two sons, Don “Steve” Stephens and Tony Wilhelm.

Don retired from Wheelabrator Corporation where he was employed for over 20 years in the maintenance department.  He honorably served his country with the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War.  Don was a member of the American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars, and was a Disabled American Veteran.  He was also a member of Club 15 in Mishawaka and a graduate of Mishawaka High School.

He enjoyed coaching little league and city softball.  He loved fishing and golfing but would enjoy any activity or sport.  He enjoyed working in the yard and gardening.   Don was a loyal Chicago Cub and Notre Dame fan and enjoyed NASCAR.  He hosted an annual 4th of July  party for almost 40 years for his family and friends and was well-known for his BBQ ribs.   Don never met a stranger, loved his family and friends, and will be missed by many.
