Earl Ralph Baron

Earl Ralph Baron, 94, passed away at 4:00am on February 17, 2017 at his home in South Bend. He was born on June 13, 1922 in Harvey, IL to the late Edward and Lillian (Salow) Baron.

In 1944 in Harvey, IL, Earl married Helen A. (Wishba) Baron, who preceded him in death. Earl is survived by son, Earl J. Baron of South Bend; son-in-law, Joe Ladislas of Peotone, IL; two grandchildren, Bryan (Kenya) Ladislas and Dawn Ladislas; one great-grandchild, Sarita Ladislas; and one sister-in-law, Hazel Baron of Paw-Paw, MI. He is preceded in death by daughter, Linda Jou Ladislas; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Day-Baron; sister, Ruth Newberry; brother, George Baron.

Earl worked as a plant engineer superintendent at Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights, IL. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II and the Korean conflict.

The family would like to extend a very special thank-you to Greg Forsythe and Grace Hospice for their extraordinary care of Earl.

There will be no public services for Earl. His ashes will be buried at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421. Palmer Funeral Homes—West Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
