Ernesto Velazquez-Huitzil

Ernesto Velazquez-Huitzil, 56, of South Bend, IN passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Memorial Hospital.  Ernesto was born on December 24, 1960 in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico to Marcelo Velazquez and Maria Huitzil. 

Ernesto is survived by his parents; his sisters, Aurora Plata of South Bend, Maritca Velazquez of Canada, Judith Velazquez of South Bend, Edith Velazquez of Mexico; his brothers, Marcelo (Maria) Velazquez, Jr. of South Bend and Roldofo Velazquez of Mexico.  He was preceded in death by his husband, Mark Malcelski in 2015. 

Ernesto was an owner and hairdresser at K & C Cuts in Elkhart, IN. 

Visitation for Ernesto Velazquez-Huitzil will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN.  Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1 at the funeral home.
