South Bend – Gene LeRoy Eggleston, 69, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Hospice House in South Bend.
Gene was born on October 30, 1945 in Goshen, IN to the late Ralph and Gladys Eggleston.
Gene was a teacher and football coach for the South Bend Community School Corporation
Gene is survived by his brothers Jim (Kathy) Eggleston of Elkhart, Sam (Barbara) Eggleston of Clayton, NC, and Ralph (Julie) Eggleston of Rio Verde, AZ; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Eggleston and Gladys Harpold.
Memorial services for Gene will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 12:00 noon at The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 805 S. 29th Street, South Bend, IN 46615 with Rev. Steven Latzke officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
