George William Letford

George William Letford, 78, of South Bend, IN passed away at 1:43 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Hospice House.  He was born on April 26, 1938 in St. Louis, MO to the late Lawrence R. and Barbara (Dengler) Letford.   On August 8, 1983, he married Bette Baumgartner Letford.

George is survived by his wife, Bette Letford; daughters, Doris Condor of St. Louis, MO, Christy Letford of Kissimmee, FL, Barbara Letford of South Bend, IN and Sara (Robert) Miller of South Bend, IN; sons, William Thomas (Linda) Letford of St. Louis, MO and George William "Buster" Letford, Jr.; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Kinealy of South Bend, IN and brothers, Lawrence Robert Letford, Jr. of St. Peters, MO, Brian Letford of Altamont, IL and Terry Wayne (Mary Jo) Letford of O'Fallon, MO.

There will be no local services or visitation.  A Memorial service will be held in St. Louis, MO at a later date.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services, South Bend is assisting the family.
