Gerald “Gary” Bare, 55, residing in South Bend, passed away at 10:25 am Monday, October 12, 2015 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born April 27, 1960 in South Bend to the late Gerald and Alice (Runyan) Bare and remained a lifelong area resident.
On September 19, 1985 in South Bend, Gary married the former Jeannette Holland, who survives. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by children, Shavon (Stephanie Taylor) Bare, Gary (Natalie Pynaert) Bare and Dylan (Jasmine Martinez) Bare, all of South Bend; and grandchildren, Brayden, Gabrielle, Carter, Kyle, Kaitlynn and Eli. Gary is also survived by his sister, Sherry (Mike) Syron of Valparaiso, IN; sister-in-law, Brenda Bare of South Bend; and brother-in-law, John Lane, also of South Bend; as well as many nieces nephews and great nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by siblings, Donna Anderson, Deborah Kline, Billy Bare and Susie Lane.
Memorial services for Gary will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 15, 2015 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services.
