Glen "Tot" Arthur Ritchey

Glen Arthur Ritchey,  residing in Carmel, IN;  formerly of South Bend, passed away at 2:02 pm. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Carmel, IN.  He was born February 8, 1931 in South Bend, the son of Charles Floyd & Bernice Gordon Ritchey Elliott and lived in South Bend all of his life until moving to Carmel, IN in June 2015.

Glen was united in marriage to Ruth Wight on November 12, 1955 in South Bend. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth, of 61 years. Also surviving are two daughters Cathleen (Ritchey) Simon of Fishers, IN;  Diana (Ritchey) McGinnis of St. Joseph, MI; and two sons, Raymond C. (Diane) Ritchey of Granger, IN; and Glen A. (Kim) Ritchey of Westfield, IN.  Glen is also survived by six grandchildren, Aaron (Alicia) Briggs, and Ryan Briggs, of Fishers, IN; Wesley (Jessica) McGinnis of Seattle, WA; Paige McGinnis of Lafayette, IN; Anna Ritchey and John Ritchey, both of Westfield, IN; three great-granddaughters McKenzie, Aubrey and Eliana and three sisters, Carol Babb of Tucson, AZ; Phyllis Jackson of Mishawaka, IN; and Kay Fox of Brownsville, OR; and a brother, Wayne Elliott of Eugene, OR.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ditsch, and a brother, Paul Elliott.

Glen proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1951-1953.  He retired in 1991 from Sales & Delivery with Ward Baking Company and Northern Indiana Vending, following 28 years of service.

Services are  Monday, April 17, 2017 at 1:00, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00  at the funeral home.
