Glenn F. Holcomb

Glenn F. Holcomb, Jr., 85, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He was born on October 1, 1931 in South Bend, IN to the late Glenn F.  and Rose (DeGraff) Holcomb, Sr. On September 28, 1957 in South Bend he married the love of his life, Charlotte Splies. They have celebrated 59 years together.

Glenn is survived by wife, Charlotte; son Tim (Carol) Holcomb of Wolcottville, IN; daughter, Brenda (Brian) Roberts of Niles, MI; grandsons, Matthew and Connor Holcomb; and his sister Nancy Six of South Bend, IN. He was preceded in death by sisters, Carolyn Beckley and Irene Sierens.

Glenn retired as a truck driver from General Liquors. He was a member of the Local Teamsters #364.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, where he received several medals and ribbons. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 am at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN, where friends may visit from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, IN with military honors.
