Helen Streich

Helen Streich, 89, of South Bend, IN passed away at 1:05 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 at Signature Healthcare, Bremen, IN.  She was born on August 10, 1926 in Glasgow, Scotland to the late Richard and Helen (Norris) Davidson.  On December 28, 1946 in South Bend, IN, she was united in marriage to Ernest Streich, who preceded her in death January 23, 1991.

Mrs. Streich is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" H. (Dave) Miley of Lakeville, IN; son, Richard E. (Janet) Streich of Verona, WI; three grandchildren, Chad E. (Christine) Miley of South Bend, IN, Kelly S. Zimmer of Madison, WI and Molly G. Streich of Chicago, IL; two great grandchildren, Madison C. Miley and Zoe Zimmer.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Sadie Leask and brother, Robert Campbell.

Mrs. Streich moved to South Bend in December 1946 coming from Scotland.  She retired from Burcliff Industries in 1989 after sixteen years of service. 

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the services. Private burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
