Jacquelyn "Jackie" Freeman

SOUTH BEND – Jacquelyn “Jackie” Freeman, 68, passed away Tuesday, June 30, in her home.

Mrs. Freeman was born on February 13, 1947 in Connersville, Indiana.  In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Freeman worked as a Sales Representative at Western Golf and at Ball-O-Matic.

Mrs. Freeman is survived by her husband of 48 years, Wilbur; her sons, Kyle (Dewi) Freeman and Ryan (Rachel) Freeman and six grandchildren, Brandon, Nathan, Noah, Ean, Karmela and Aiden.  She is also survived by her brothers, Chris Conway and James (Dawn) Carl; Evangeline Diaz Freeman and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Conway, and grandmother, Christine Vaughn. 

Jackie enjoyed taking family vacations to Chicago, Wisconsin Dells and Connecticut.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.  Camping in Hart, Michigan, was always an adventure she looked forward to; however, stand-up comics and watching movies provided her with great laughs.  Her elaborate gift-wrapping with matching bows and paper was truly a work of art.  Jackie also enjoyed fireworks on the 4th of July, family Thanksgivings and Halloween.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park; 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46614.  Friends may call on Monday, July 6, 2015 two hours prior to the service at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park.  Burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery; 61300 US 31 South, South Bend, IN 46614.
