James Dale Baker

James Dale Baker, 63, of South Bend, IN passed away at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at his home.  He was born on January 27, 1952 in Bremen, IN to Dale and Florine (LaFree) Baker. 

Mr. Baker is survived by his son Aaron (Bethany) Baker of Hummelstown, PA; daughter,  Tricia Grooms of Granger, IN; granddaughter, Layla Grooms; sisters, Carolyn Moench of Avon, IN, Jane Baker of Michigan City, IN, Marge Arnold of Avon, IN, Kathy (Jay) Seeger of Lafayette, IN and Patty Cunningham of Fort Collins, CO; brothers, Ken (Rita) Baker of West Lafayette, IN and Gale Baker of Bremen, IN and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Baker was a lifelong area resident.  He was a graduate of Bremen High School where he was a tremendous athletic and attended Indiana State University.  He served his country honorably in the United States Army.  He worked at South Bend Post Office for twenty-eight years. Mr. Baker previously owned a dairy farm in Bremen.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.  There will be no services.
