Jerome J. Wiener, age 98, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Thurston Woods Village Nursing Home in Sturgis, MI. He was born in Bowlus, MN to Albert and Magdelin Wiener and has resided in Sturgis since 1961. On June 17, 1938, Jerome married Anna Lehner at St. Joseph’s Farm in Granger, IN.

Jerome worked in all facets of plant maintenance at Wall Packing, Martin Products and Oak Products in Sturgis before retiring. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and gardening.

Jerome is survived by his son, Thomas A. Wiener of Granger; daughter-in-law, Sheri Wiener of South Bend; grandsons, Thomas O., Philip, Scott and Douglas Wiener; six great grandchildren; and his sister, Angeline Kaiser of Sartell, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna; son, Jerome P. Wiener; parents; five brothers; and two sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial for Jerome will be celebrated at 10:30 am Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 am until mass time on Tuesday in the church. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
