MISHAWAKA – John Charles Tolley, 54, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 as a result of an accident.  John was born on August 12, 1961 in South Bend, IN.  He was employed as a carpenter.

John was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bill and Mary Tolley, and his biological father, Bill Somers. Survived by his biological mother, Mary Somers.

John is survived by daughters, Amber (Ricky) Onderdonk and Alisa (Kevin) Tuckey; five grandchildren, Kyle, Brandon, Katrina, Skie and Jayson.  He is also survived by his ex-wife, Stormy Jones the mother of Alisa and Amber and highly appreciated by John the man who cared for his girls, Rick Jones; four siblings, Wanita, Tim, Tracy (Patty) Somers and Teri (Mike) Golubski.  John was preceded in death by seven siblings, Wiley, Tammy, Chuck, William, Thomas Somers, Jackie Weber, John Keppler and Butch Tolley.  Also surviving is longtime girlfriend, Donna Lawton, the mother of Eric, Chris, Phillip and Jeremy Lawton and the grandmotherof Shelby, Adrianna, Lexis, Emma and John’s “thick as thieves buddy” Harley.

A celebration of John's life will be held from 1:00 - 6:00 PM Saturday, October 17th at Barbie Creek Community Building, 601 E. 11th Street, Mishawaka, IN  Palmer Funeral Home-River Park and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.  Contributions in memory of John Tolley may be made to Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
