Paulausky, 68, passed away on Friday morning, October 9, 2009 at his home. Mr. Paulausky was born on September 19, 1941
in the Back of the Yards, Chicago, IL to the late Adam and Marie (Michalak)
Paulausky, Sr. He has lived in South
Bend since 1993, moving from Chicago. On
February 21, 1971 in Chicago, IL, Joseph married Catherine Fletcher who
preceded in death on April 21, 1973. One
daughter, Jolin Paulausky and one brother, Donald Paulausky, Sr. also preceded
in death.
survived by his daughter, Cathy Jo (Chris) Wachs of South Bend; two sons,
Edward Paulausky of Thawville, IL and Joseph Paulausky, Jr. of Chicago; six
grandchildren, David Cox, Keegan Cox, Shae Paulausky, Elijah Wachs, Patrick
Paulausky, and Amanda Paulausky; and his
five siblings, Jim Paulausky of Detroit, MI, Adam (Jacklyn) Paulausky of
Clearwater, FL, Donna Paulausky of Crown Point, IN, John (Linda) Paulausky of Chicago, and Tony
(Chris) Paulausky of Chicago.
Joseph had a love
for photography, a great passion that followed him throughout his life. It was through this passion, he shared his
works of great beauty with everyone who came to know him. In doing so, he touched their lives in ways
he will never know. Joseph was loved and
will be missed by his remaining family and friends.
A gathering and
celebration of Joseph's life will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17,
2009 at the home of his daughter, Cathy Jo, 17711 Darden Road, South Bend. Please plan on attending, sharing a story,
and celebrating a wonderful life.
