Kathleen Loyd

Kathleen Loyd, 61, of South Bend, IN passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 at her home.  Kathleen was born to the union of Walter and Roxie (Blanch) Tribble on January 2, 1954 in Clarksdale, Mississippi.  She was the third of five siblings.  She has one sister, Shirley Tribble and three brothers, Walter and Eddie Tribble and Bryant Buchanan.  She accepted Christ at an early age in South Bend, IN, first at Saint John Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Bernard White, then at Christian Center Cathedral of Praise under Dr. Lester Sumrall. 

Kathleen married Gregory Loyd and to that union she had two children, Joshua C. Loyd and Brittany R. Loyd.  She also had two grandchildren, Alexis L. Loyd and Mikayla M. Tucker. 

Kathleen attended Linden Elementary, Studebaker Elementary and Riley High School.  She was a paraprofessional at Monroe Elementary School.  She loved her children, grandchildren, family and friends.  She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.   Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services.\
