Lewis "Paul" West

Lewis Paul West, 84, of South Bend, IN passed away at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.  He was born on December 4, 1932 in Sharpsville, IN to the late Lewis Paul and Hazel Dale (Barr) West.  On October 23, 2001, in Mishawaka, IN, he married Gwendolyn   

Paul is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn West; two daughters, Vicki Burnison of Charleston, SC and Laine (Mark) Hocker of Cleveland, OH; three sons, Scott (Tammy) West, Marc Alan (Nancy) West of Indianapolis, IN and Troy Lee (Michele) West of Portland, OR; seven grandchildren and sister, Macon Dale Traxler.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his 1st wife, Retha Ann West on December 18, 1999.

Paul has lived in South Bend for the last thirty-two years.  He served his country honorably in the United States Army.  Paul retired in 1999 after thirty-two years in sales for Crows  Seed Company.   He was a member of Community Baptist Church. 

There will be no services or visitation.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.
