Lois A. Brown

Lois A. Brown, 87 of South Bend, IN passed away at 1:54 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2017 at Memorial Hospital.   She was born on July 6, 1930 in Walkerton, IN to the late Elmer and Bertha (Koehler) Daube.  IN 1949, in Texas, she was united in marriage to the late Lester E. Brown who preceded her in death in 1980.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald Daube.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Brown of Kerrville, TX and two sons, Gilbert (Tabitha) Brown and Greg Brown, both of South Bend, IN; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Lois was raised in Walkerton, IN and moved to South Bend in 1949.  She along with her husband owned Brown's Distributing in Mishawaka, IN where she also served as treasurer. She stayed very active helping out in the family business and she loved to cook.

A Private service will be held at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.  Burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
