Lois Irvine

June 5, 1929 – April 15, 2015

MISHAWAKA – Lois Irvine, 85, residing in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away at 11:36 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at her home, where she has lived for the past 62 years.

Lois was born on June 5, 1929 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Louis and Lilly (Henry) Sefranka.  Lois attended Adams High School, South Bend and was part of the graduating class of 1948.  On June 6, 1948 in North Liberty, she was united in marriage Wayne Irvine, who preceded her in death on July 23, 2010.  Lois previously worked at K-Ron and Dino’s Pizza.

Lois and Wayne enjoyed traveling with the Gypsy Rovers Motor Home Group.  She was a member of the Adams High School Class of 1948 Reunion Committee and also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Mishawaka, Indiana.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Lynn Irvine of Mishawaka; son, Michael (Mary Jo) Irvine of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren, Kristi, Michael, Jr., Tracey, Todd, Matthew, Andrew and Anne; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and brother, Gerald (Ann) Sefranka of Pleasant Hill, CA.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lilly Sefranka; loving husband, Wayne Irvine; son, Danny Irvine; grandson, Adam Troy Christensen; sisters, Eleanor “Bonnie” Toombs; brothers, Robert, Raymond and John Sefranka.

Memorial services for Lois will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. Rev. Reed Anderstrom will officiate. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart to Heart Hospice, 620 W.
