Loren G. Jones

Loren G. Jones, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 following a long-time battle with depression.  He retired December 31, 2009 after 25 years of service with the State of Indiana.  He was born October 4, 1947 in La Porte, Indiana to Wayne B. and Faye E. (Barber) Jones. In 1989, Loren moved to Mishawaka from Walkerton, Indiana.

He is survived by sister, Jean Catelani of Santa Rosa, CA; two brothers, Russell Jones of Mishawaka, Kenneth (Mercy) Jones of Las Vegas, NV, along with a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn Stull and Betty Jones; his brother, Paul Jones; and his loyal, loving cat companion, Andy.

Loren enjoyed reading, music, going for walks and his cats.

Friends may visit with the family from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend.  A celebration of Loren’s life will begin at 7:00 p.m.
