Marie M. Trammell

Marie M. Trammell, 89, of South Bend, IN passed away Monday, October 26, 2015. She was born on April 22, 1926 in Cedar Lake, IN to George and Eva (Schroeder) Hennin. She graduated from Crown Point High School in 1944. On May 10, 1946, she married Roy W. Trammell in the First Presbyterian Church in Hammond, IN. Roy preceded her in death on March 16, 1989. They came to South Bend from Lansing, IL in October 1952. She was a member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church for sixty years. She volunteered in different areas of the church. Marie belonged to the Women's Association and Bible study. She was a member and past president of Psi Iota Xi Sorority for almost sixty years and past president of TOPS 21 in Indiana.
   Marie enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends, reading and gardening.  She was also an avid Notre Dame football and Chicago Cubs fan.  Most of all she adored her three children, Gregory (Patricia) Trammell of South Bend, IN, Terri (Thomas) Gilbert of Austin, TX, Laura (Rick) Jasinski of South Bend, IN; her grandchildren, Ryan (Vanessa) Trammell of Carmel, IN, Erin (Joseph) Heaton of St. Augustine, FL, Chelsea Bulte of Malibu, CA, Bryan (Ashley) Bulte of College Station, TX and Kyle Nichols of South Bend, IN; step grandchildren, Christina (Paul) Soderlund of Kokomo, IN, Ricky Jasinski of South Bend, Becca Martinson of FL and Rachael Pierce of AZ; her precious great grandchildren, Tate and Pete Trammell of IN; Van and Nash Heaton of FL, Knox and Hudson Bulte of TX, Cameron Nichols of IN and Cade Corliss of CA. She loved all of her children and their children.
   Marie was preceded in death by three sisters, Georgia (Andrew) Place, Joan (Walter) Olszewski and Shirley Hennin; three brothers, Robert (Maxine), John (Beverly) and James Hennin. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, Kris Felton and Andy (Annetta) Place were a very important part of her life.
   A Memorial service for Marie will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, 115 S. Frances St. South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
