Marita Fern Walters, 88, residing in South Bend, passed away at 11:20 am Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. She was born January 22, 1927 in South Bend to the late Vencil and Zelma (Dobins) Burch and remained a lifelong area resident.
Marita worked as a secretary at Bendix Corporation before retirement.
She is survived by her sisters, Donna Coe of South Bend, Dorothy Cornwell of California, Betty (Don) Zelasko of South Bend, Mary (David) Bolenbaugh of Florida and Lois (Charles) Wollcott of Texas. She was preceded in death by one sister, Reva Overholt; and her brother, Carol Burch.
Graveside services for Marita will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, November 5, 2015 at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
