Marlyn E. Wigren

Marlyn E. Wigren, 91, passed away at 5:33am on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at The Hearth at Juday Creek in Granger. She was born on August 16, 1925 in Chicago, IL to the late Emil and Esther (Bolin) Olson.

Marlyn enjoyed 64 years of marriage to Jack Wigren, a veteran who preceded her in death on August 26, 2013. Marlyn is survived by daughters, Gail (Scott) Leister of Middlebury, IN, and Lynn (Mathew) Ehlhardt of Chico, CA; sons, Brad (Deborah) Wigren of Middlebury, and Scott (Nancy) Wigren of Kirkland, WA; nine grandchildren, Emy, Rikki, Ben, Andrew, Katie, Laura, Matthew, Maggie and Jack; and five great-grandchildren.

Marlyn loved her family; they were the center of her world. She also especially enjoyed 19 years of the “lake life” on Lake Templene in Michigan, which she shared with family and friends during retirement.

Memorial services for Marlyn will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 185 W. Fifth Street, Constantine, MI 49042. Pastor Dennis Smith will officiate. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, May 27 at Fort Custer National Cemetery,15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, MI 49012. Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
