Mary Dee Burnore

January 11, 1935 – July 22, 2015

SOUTH BEND – Mary Dee Burnore passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the age of 80, while residing at Morningside Nursing and Memory Care Center, South Bend.

Mary was born on January 11, 1935 in South Bend, Indiana to the late William P. Snyder and Helen Snyder and has been a lifelong resident of New Carlisle, Indiana.  Mary worked for 20 years in home cleaning at Grand Beach Michiana Shores before retiring in 2006.  Mary attended Christ The King Lutheran Church, South Bend.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Debra Jaramillo of Largo, FL and Diana Hostetler of New Carlisle, IN; son, Gary Lee (Belinda) Burnore of North Carolina; two grandsons, Gene S. Hostetler of Windsor Locks, CT and James A. Hostetler of South Bend.

Mary was loved by not only family, but also by the people who took care of her at Morningside.  The family would like to express their appreciation to the caregivers at Morningside, the staff at Harbor Light Hospice, and to Dr. Susan M. Moore-Riesbeck, DO for all of their compassionate care.  Her family is ever so grateful for the tender care she received over an almost 3 year period of time – always clean, always comfortable, never a sore on her in all of that time – which speaks volumes about the people who were entrusted with her care and so obviously loved her as their own.  We thank you for all that you have done and for your tears and hugs and being there for family in the end.

There are no services scheduled at this time.  In lieu of cards or flowers, the family asks that you make memorial contributions to Harbor Light Hospice, 1608 E. Day Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or to “C.A.R.E of South Bend” through South Bend Animal Care and Control, 521 Eclipse Place, South Bend, IN 46628, as Mary had a tremendous love of animals and would want to help them any way she could.  Palmer Funeral Homes and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences
