Michael "Mousie" Keller

January 23, 1951 ~ April 23, 2017 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Michael “Mousie” Keller, 66 years old, passed away at 8:56 a.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Hospice House in South Bend.  Mike was born on January 23, 1951 in South Bend to the late John Paul and Margie L. (Féar) Keller, Sr.  He has remained a lifelong resident of South Bend.  Mike proudly served his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army.  He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. 

Mike was the former owner and operator of Michiana Taxi for over 25 years.  Mike was a hard worker and was formerly employed at Logan Center, Bendix Woods as a park ranger and owned his own landscaping business.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing.  Mike was a talented softball player and played on several teams over the years where he made many friendships.  He also was an umpire for several years.

Mike is survived by his four children, John Michael (Shelly) Jolley of Granger, Jared Andrew Jolley of South Bend, Katie Jolley of South Bend and Kristen (Jon) Sandoval of Cottonwood, AZ; nine grandchildren, Dominick, Addison, Allen, Hailie, Austin, Willow, Liam, Jocelyn, and Jordyn; and four sisters and one brother, Judith R. Barber of Mishawaka, John P. (Terry) Keller of Goshen, Dona F. Keller of Mishawaka, Penny K. Keller of South Bend, Becky L. Emmons of Celeste, TX. 

Per Michael’s request, there will be no services or visitation.  Palmer Funeral Home-River Park and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Michael E. Keller may be donated to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL  32256.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
