Norma "Sissy" Peppers

Norma “Sissy” Peppers, 61, of South Bend, IN passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at home surrounded by family.  Norma was born on October 14, 1955 in South Bend, IN to the late Lee O. and Alice E. (Dean) Peppers. 

Norma is survived by her daughters, Shannon (Barry) Newman and Lisa (Nathan) Mitchell; sons, Joseph (Jennifer) Lippert, Lee O. (Teri) Lippert, and Phillip (Amanda) Phillips; twenty-one grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Lisa (Curt) Hightshoe; adopted sister, Susan Podemski; brother, David (Candi) Peppers; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Peppers and two brothers, Bruce and Lee Peppers.

Norma enjoyed spending time with her family at cookouts, flower gardening and relaxing out on the patio with an iced tea or Pepsi. She also liked butterflies and hummingbirds and was an avid Cubs and Notre Dame football fan. 

Funeral services for Norma will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Palmer Funeral Homes—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Rd., South Bend, IN. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, July 13th at the funeral home.
