Orlen H. Biltz

Orlen H. Biltz, age 84, of South Bend, IN passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Orlen was born on March 25, 1933 in Mishawaka, IN to Clarence and Julia (Klein) Biltz, who preceded him in death. On April 14, 1956, Orlen married Joan Marie Pinter at Sacred Heart Church. Orlen is survived by his wife Joan, daughter Janice (Kent) Beutel of Osceola, IN, son Jay Biltz of Elkhart, IN, granddaughter Amy (Tom) Hayden, grandson Michael Beutel, brother Terry (Linda) Biltz of Griffith, GA, and brother-in-law Bill Krueger of Elkhart. Orlen was preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Krueger.

Orlen worked for multiple oil companies on the Indiana Toll Road. He also worked for Martin’s Supermarket at the corner of 23 and Ironwood for 17 years and enjoyed his work there because of all the nice people and friends he met. Orlen served our country through the United States Army. He was a fan of Notre Dame sports, the Chicago Cubs, and the Green Bay Packers, and he took pride in his lawn and garden.

Funeral services for Orlen will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 2310 E Jefferson Blvd, South Bend, IN 46615. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions in honor of Orlen may be given to Christ Child Society, 308 S.
