Oscar Morris, 59, residing in Elkhart, passed away Monday morning, June 1, 2015 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born January 28, 1956 in South Bend to Robert and Betty (Steenbeke) Morris, and remained a lifelong resident of the Michiana area.
Prior to becoming ill, Oscar worked in Elkhart for a plastic molding manufacturer.
On December 19, 1988 in Elkhart, Oscar married the former Ann Denman, who survives. He is also survived by his parents, Robert and Betty Morris of Luther, MI; daughter, Tara (Michael) Lambert of Middlebury, IN; sons, Bill (Heather) Smith of Topeka, KS and Robert (Brooke) Morris of Gibbon, NE; and nine grandchildren, Cohen, Carson, Brynlie, Claire, Hannah, Joel, Lydia, Vivian and Luke. He is also survived by a sister, Roseanne Morris of Mishawaka; niece, Jamie (Jeremy) Herring; and nephew Aaron (Ida) Morris; as well as fourteen great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Morris, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will take place from 4:00 - 7:00 pm Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 56601 Lantz Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46516. Palmer Funeral Home - River Park Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
