SOUTH BEND – Patricia A. Burlingame, formerly Patricia A. Park, passed away peacefully at her home in South Bend, IN at 8:20 AM Saturday, January 24, 2015.

Patricia was born on November 9, 1938 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late John and Isabel (Don) Park.  Pat grew up in Waukegan, IL where she attended Waukegan Township High School, Class of 1956.  While attending college, she majored in Addictions Counseling.  Pat worked as a M.R.O. Purchasing Agent and as an Addictions Counselor in the inner cities of Chicago, IL, Torrington, CT and South Bend, IN.

Pat was a friend of Bill W’s for the past 33 years, where she was actively involved in service work.  She was a faithful member of South Side Baptist Church, South Bend where she enjoyed serving in many areas of ministry.  She loved reading, listening to books on tape, watching movies, line dancing, traveling, cooking and “Pizza Night at Five.”  The joy of her life was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, and friends.  Pat was an extremely loving and giving person. She was an incredible mother and grandmother who had the knack of making anyone she was with feel special. Everyone that knew Pat loved her and had a good relationship with her. She was a mother, teacher, counselor and friend. The void she leaves is huge and she will be greatly missed.

On November 13, 1982 in Wildwood, IL she was united in marriage to Thomas Mac Burlingame, who preceded her in death on April 20, 2009.  Also preceding in death were her father, John Park; mother, Isabel Park-Bastian; and brother, Bob Park.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Laura (Tim) McGann of South Bend, Cindy L. Wehrly of Kenosha, WI, Roberta (Greg) Speth of Bristol, WI; son, Bobby (Kelly) Wehrly of Mt. Pleasant, WI; grandchildren, Kelly Boss (Mike) Martin, Mandy (James) Sakiewicz, Doug (Brittany) O’Keefe, Tim O’Keefe, Patti O’Keefe, Megan (Tyler) Campbell, Curt (Kelsi) McGann, Brittany Wehrly, Haley Meeker; great-grandchildren, Talulah, Stella, Greta, Aly, Ava, Gideon, Kiyo, Oliver and Olivia.

Funeral services for Pat will be 10:30 AM Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615 with graveside services following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.  Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to South Side Baptist Church, P.O.
