Patrick Douglas Yocum, 65, residing in Loudon, TN and formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 13, 2016. He was born January 10, 1951 in South Bend to the late James Frederick and Larraine M. (O’Meara) Yocum.
On August 29, 1981 in Logansport, Patrick married the former Pamla Sue Zagajewski, who survives. He is also survived by sisters, Cynthia (Yocum) Pankiw, Christine (Yocum) Vandenburg and Melanie (Yocum) Sulok; three nieces; two nephews; seven great nieces; and two great nephews. Patrick was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Yocum.
Patrick graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School, South Bend in 1969. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy and earned his MBA from the University of Illinois in Champagne, IL. Although Patrick grew up in the South Bend area, he and Pam lived in several different states before settling in Tennessee when Patrick retired from Edgewater Technical Associates as a contractor.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, June 20, 2016 in Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 SR 933, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 - 4:00 pm Sunday, June 19, 2016 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Christ the King Catholic Church.
