Paul R. Potts, 78, residing in South Bend, passed away at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Kindred Hospital of Northern Indiana.  He was born November 8, 1936 in Herrick, IL, a son of Warren W. & Anna M. (Brown) Potts.  He lived in Preston, Missouri for many years, but has lived in this community most of his life.

On March 2, 1963 in Mishawaka, IN, he was united in marriage to Rose M. Avery.  They have enjoyed 52 years of marriage.  Along with his loving wife Rose, he is also survived by  two daughters, Cheryl (Robb) Wilson of Niles, MI; Annette (Marty) Nimitz of Green Bay, WI; his son, Paul R. (Stephanie) Potts of Homer, MI; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Potts, Anna Potts, Matthew Schultz, Nicholas Potts, Taylor Potts, and Olivia Wilkinson, along with eight great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Barbara (Adam) Brodinski of Edwardsburg, MI; Leila (Don) Lange of Pewaukee, WI; and brother, Robert Potts of Elkhart, IN.

Mr. Potts retired in 1991 from the Uniroyal Corp. following 36 years of service.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1958-1961, and was a member of Apostolic Temple in South Bend. He loved to fish and read western books.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel. 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Graveside services and military rites will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
