Phillip Timothy Zakrowski

Phillip T. Zakrowski, 57, lifetime resident of South Bend, passed away at 12:50am on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Center for Hospice Care in South Bend. He was born on September 26, 1959 in South Bend, to the late Aloysius and Henrietta (Guzowski) Zakrowski.

Phillip is survived by daughters, Carly (Andrew Wieske) Zakrowski and Elizabeth (Robert) Biggerstaff, both of New Carlisle; son, Casey (Sabrina) Zakrowski of New Carlisle; six grandchildren, Gregory, Donald, Benjamin, Grant, Riley and Anastasia; sisters, AnnMarie Laurence, Marcia, Marlene and Paulette; and girlfriend, Carla Jenkins. In addition to his parents, Phillip is preceded in death by first wife, Donna Bailey; second wife, Anna Kavacs; granddaughter, Gracie Robb; and brother, Daniel Zakrowski.

Phillip worked as a die setter in a metal factory. He enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and album collecting. He especially enjoyed site-seeing, nature walks and bonfires.

Memorial services for Phillip will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, April 28 at Palmer Funeral Home—West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN 46628. Rev. Kevin Bauman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Friday at the funeral home prior to services. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date at Olive Chapel Cemetery in New Carlisle, IN.
