Phyllis F. Call

Phyllis F. Call, 92, of New Carlisle, IN passed away at 11:20 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Hamilton Grove Communities, New Carlisle.  She was born on March 8, 1924 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Ira and Lela (Johnson) Williams.  On December 24, 1980 in Mishawaka, IN, she was united in marriage to George Call who preceded her in death on March 3, 1991.  She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Toth and Brenda Kmitta. 

Mrs. Call is survived by her daughter, Gail (Robert) Kusmiez of North Liberty, IN; son, Bill (Robin) Schuster of Niles, MI; six grandchildren, Darrin, Bob, Brian, Jodie, Robert and Shannon; eight great grandchildren, Ashley, MacKenzie, Zachary, Taylor, Luke, Gabrielle, Bradley and Brian and great great grandson, Kayden.

Mrs. Call was a lifelong resident.  She worked as a toll auditor for the Indiana Toll Road retiring after twelve years of service.  She was a member of F.O.E of Mishawaka, V.F. W. #1167 and past member of First United Methodist Church in Mishawaka.  Mrs. Call loved to dance, raise animals and was a fan of big band music, records, rolling skating and movies.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.  Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
