I met Phyllis a few years ago when I began helping out (as the speaker) at the outreach ministry at Tanglewood. The ministry team gives a Christmas gift to those who attend the church service; a book of pictures of the close-knit community that we have come to know and love.

Through this picture directory I discovered that I worked with Phyllis' daughter Kim (at Martin's) years earlier.

I send my condolences to your family and I too, will miss her.

We had a neat friendship. I noticed that she would have a cup of decaf during our services- so I began getting it for her, and having it ready when she came in. She eventually got used to it- but always still had the most genuine thank you's and warm smiles of appreciation in return.

Whenever we talked, Phyllis would take my hand in both of hers, and rub the top of my hand the entire time we talked. She just was so very nurturing.

We talked about the Bible- but mostly we looked at pictures of the grand kids; she was so proud of them, and beamed ear to ear when she had a new picture to share.

She was just a loveable, sweet, wonderful lady. And will be missed.

My prayer is that our Lord will comfort you through this time of grief, and encourage you with the promise of resurrection. (Rev. 21:4)

My condolences and sympathies.  Aunt Phyllis will be missed!  She was always so sweet and warm to me- a lovely great aunt to have.  I will always remember her at Christmastime, both from our family gatherings and her presence in church and the choir.

With love,
John Patrick

Phyllis was a wonderful, kind funny lady. I had the pleasure  of meeting Phyllis at my job, only to discover and make the connection that she was the grandmother of my dear  friend, Jennifer.
My thoughts and prayers  are with Phyllis and her family. May she rest peacefully and be remembered always.
