Ralph H. Lockhart

Ralph H. Lockhart, 87 years old, passed away at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Hospice House in Elkhart, IN.  Ralph was born on September 29, 1930 in Chicago, IL to the late Ralph E. and Elsie H. (Vanselow) Lockhart.  He moved to South Bend in 1952 and has lived in Lakeville for the past 40 years.  On September 6, 1952 in Chicago, IL, Ralph and Marjorie J. Lippelt were united in marriage.

Along with his loving wife of 65 years, Marjorie, he is survived by their two daughters, Lisa and Eric Stickdorn of New Lisbon, IN and Cynthia A. Lockhart of Lakeville.

Ralph retired as a Metallurgical Engineer at Bendix Aerospace after over 40 years of employment.  He was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Liberty.  Ralph served his country with the United States Army. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 24955 Riley Road, North Liberty.  Pastor Vicki Blough will officiate.   Graveside services and burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 26th, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ralph H.
