Rebecca K. (Deepe) Neese

Rebecca K. Deepe Neese, 65, residing in South Bend, passed away at 11:20 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Hospice House, South Bend.  She was born August 9, 1951 in South Bend, a daughter of the late Myron & Beulah (Pugh) Deepe, and has remained a lifelong resident of the south side.  On August 11, 1979 at Clay United Methodist Church, South Bend, Becky was united in marriage to Ricky Neese. They enjoyed 36 years of marriage until his passing on March 14, 2016.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Brett Deepe, and a half brother, Ronald Deepe.

Becky retired from the City of South Bend Building Dept. as a Fiscal Officer, where she worked for 42 years.   Becky and Ricky enjoyed playing tennis, racquetball, and volleyball.  They were also big supporters of East Side Little League. She  loved cats, horses, and playing the slots at the casino. She  also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Becky also loved playing Mrs. Claus beside Ricky as Santa Claus each year during the Christmas season.

She is survived by her sisters, Myra (Jerry) Perkins of Roann, IN; and Charlotte Bollinger of Oscoda, MI; and brother David Deepe of Wabash, IN.  Also surviving are two half sisters, Rosemary (Richard) Tinkston and Barbara (Al) Wallace.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, at the Palmer Funeral Home, within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 North Michigan St., Lakeville, IN.   Entombment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
