Rodney Wayne Francis

Rodney Wayne Francis, 63 years old, passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Hospice House, South Bend.  Rodney was born on July 26, 1954 in LaPorte, IN to Wayne Junior Winterrowd and Jean Elizabeth Francis.  He has lived in South Bend for the past 40 years.  On November 17, 2001 in South Bend, Rodney was united in marriage to the former Julia Anna Northrop.  Rodney proudly served his country with the United States Army. 

Along with his wife, Julia, survivors include three sons and two daughters; Eric Francis of South Bend, Wesley Francis of Mishawaka, Franklin Faultersack of Michigan, Casey Mullins of South Bend and Natasha Pease of Elkhart; his mother, Jean E. Winterrowd of Walkerton; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Pam (Vic) Fisher of Walkerton and Bonnie Koopman of Michigan; and one brother, Kerry (Bambi) Winterrowd of South Bend. 

A military graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Southlawn Cemetery, 61300 U.S. 31 South, South Bend, IN.  Burial will follow.  There will be no visitation.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Rodney Wayne Francis may be donated to Palmer Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN  46614.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
