Russell J. Drozd, Sr., age 57, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away on Wednesday morning, August 9, 2017 at his home.  He was employed with Salvation Army. 

Russell was born on October 29, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois and moved to La Porte in 2007.

Russell is survived by his son, Russell J. Drozd, Jr. and his mother, Janet Zarate of Hobart, Indiana; four grandsons, Nicholas James Drozd, Daniel Jacob Drozd, Alexander Jonathon Drozd and Thomas Jay Drozd; and his siblings, David Drozd of Chicago, Tricia Drozd of Berwyn, Illinois, Sam Strzelczyk of Burbank, California and Victor (Heidi)  Strzelczyk of La Porte.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth James Drozd and Agnes Ann (Borskie) Strzelczyk

Graveside services will take place at 11:00 am (Chicago time) on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Illinois.
