Sandra Kay Fisher

Sandra Kay Fisher, 66, of South Bend, IN passed away at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Memorial Hospital.  She was born on August 29, 1948 in South Bend, IN to Donald and Marie (Hurtle)  Kryder.  She was united in marriage on September 15, 1973 in South Bend, IN to James E. Fisher, who survives.

Mrs. Fisher is also survived by her daughter, Melody A. (Brian) Woods of South Bend, IN and Michael A. (Kristi) Fisher of South Bend, IN and sister, Judith (Dale) Murphy of South Bend, I

Mrs. Fisher was a lifelong resident.  She worked as a substitute librarian at Greene and Studebaker schools.  She worked at K-Mart on Ireland Road and was a St. Joseph County 4-H leader for twenty-eight years. Mrs. Fisher enjoyed cross stitching and plastic canvas.   She played the organ and accordian for fifty years.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
